Enrique Castillo
Practitioner
Enrique Castillo is a musician and Feldenkrais™ practitioner dedicated to helping artists unlock their full potential for comfort, awareness, and expressive sound. His unique approach blends his deep musical expertise with his knowledge of body awareness, fostering a holistic approach to performance.
Enrique has been invited to lead Feldenkrais workshops for guitarists at prestigious events such as the Drôme de Guitares festival in France and the Volterra Project summer guitar institute in Italy, where he shares his expertise on the intersection of body, mind, and music.
A passionate advocate for holistic development, Enrique's journey into the mind-body connection began in 2005 with various yoga practices, Vipassana meditation, and mindfulness. His commitment to this path led him to become a certified Feldenkrais practitioner in 2019, following a transformative four-year training at IFELD in Lyon under the guidance of Yvan Joly and Richard Corbeil.
Though Enrique initially pursued studies in mathematics, his deep passion for the guitar soon led him to shift his focus. He studied under renowned teachers, including Jesús Castro Balbi at the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon, Gabriel Estarellas at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid, and completed his Master’s degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel in 2011, under the mentorship of Antigoni Goni.
Enrique’s journey as both a musician and a Feldenkrais practitioner continues to inspire others, as he guides musicians to find balance, expressiveness, and joy in their craft.
